  Never say never

  I was thinking about how successful people became successful. I thought that a successful person is the well known person, but I discovered that this is not true. Many people are successful and have many successful stories to tell about and no one know them. I have many stories in this kind of stories and here is one of them. After I finished my primary school, I entered the IG system and finished it just in two years. I applied at AUC, while I was in IG. Because of either a misunderstanding or incorrect information, I missed to take the English test. I entered the Toefl test eight times; seven was canceled due to technical problems and the last one I finally entered. During this period of Toefl exams I had two options either to wait until I got an English test scores or two enter other university. I choose the second option, however, one that I could transfer from. Finally, I succeed in my trial and entered the AUC with sixty credit hours. After I had this experience, I believe that anyone can reach success, but never give up.

  I think that IQ test results is the main factor that leads to success is a controversial issue. Glawell claims that IQ results are not the main reason behind success, but it do help. He gave three examples in his book. First example is in chapter three, of Chris Langan who scored one hundren ninety five in an IQ test. He was a genius; however, he did not succeed in his life. On the other hand, in the same chapter, Gladwell gave us the example of Oppenheiemre who was also a genius; however, he succeeded in his life not for his wits in the IQ test, but as a result of his practical intelligence. The second example is in chapter four, of terman’s study that represents people whom had high IQ scores are going to lead the world. Nevertheless, Gladwell showed that the theory had an error and these people were not successful. The last example, in chapter eight, is of Chinese people who are good at Math and can deal with any intricate problems, but this is not due to their IQ results, it is due to the effort they spent to slove problems.  In my opinion, I disagree with Gladwells’ opinion because I think that IQ is the basic factor of success. People with low IQ cannot benefit from other mentioned factors. I think that people can subsist with low IQ rate, but it hard to become successful.

  PDI or Power Distance Index is a theory that measures the attitude of people toward the chain of command. It differs from one person to another, so what about countries. Most of Western Counties appear at the end of scale of PDI which mean that these countries have low PDI. Egypt was appeared at the begging of the scale. Anyone can easily recognize how high position people thrust low people. For example, when the prime minister of the president was going out to streets in their cars, all roads are closed until they reach their target. However, after the Egyptian youth burst the revolution I think this inexplicable situation. Today, we see the prime minister is eating in public restaurant and walking in streets. This shows that Egypt starts to change and it starts to get down on the scale of PDI. Hence, in my opinion Egypt today has a lower PDI than before.

  There are many factors that could have an effect on person’s personality two of which are the ancestors and society. These two factors can be combined together and form one word which is cultural legacies. To illustrate, the family creates the personality of the person. Furthermore, the ancestors are the source of virtuous skills that any person needs them. Moreover, the society continues the creation of the personality and invigorates it. It can help the person either to ridge his/her goal or to miss his/her target. In my opinion, cultural legacies are the most essential factor that affect person’s success because it is the first factor that person faced. In other words it is the basic of the success.

  Gladwell said that because of autonomy, complexity, and the connection between effort and reward, the work is satisfying. Autonomy reveals to people have to have independence in their work. They should work by their own creativity and without help. Moreover, people have to have Virtues qualities and special skills in order to reach the complexity requirement. Furthermore, the harder people work the better return they get. This shows that the relation between effort and reward is directly proportional. I agree with Gladwell that people ought to include complexity and the link between effort and payment, however, I disagree with the autonomy requirement. I think that there are many kinds of work that people can have to cooperate with their colleagues in order to have superior production. For instance, employees who work in advertisement company, they have to brainstorm together in order to get imperious ideas. This explains that autonomy is not one of the basic requirements for satisfying work. I recommend that people have to maneuver their work in addition to have the complexity and the bond between effort and reward.

  There is always hope :)

  In spite of the Egyptian economic growth rate is positive, it is not fixed and fluctuating. According to the Egyptian Gross Domestic Product growth rate, the growth rate starts its decreasing since two thousand and five. However, the economic growth rate reaches its tough point in two thousand and eleven during the Egyptian revolution due to the instable environment. This reveals that the unemployment rate is at its peak point. Therefore, all people who born from nineteen ninety 90 till nineteen ninety three are feeling solicitous about their career future. Hence, the opportunity is only available for savvy people. I recommend that the government should maneuver its expenditure and start to work on the economy.

  Because of my own believes, I think that I am a successful person. I believe in myself. I believe that I am precious and peculiar person, even though I grow up in a poor family. I believe that I deserve to be famous man. I became a fair president because believe in human rights even when I was arrested because I was always asking for people and my rights. I believe in nonviolence, so I accept the truce during the war. I believe in peace, so I sign on the peaceful documents between Egypt and Israel and I won Nobel Prize for peace. I was a successful president because I believe in meritocracy. Therefore, I changed the Egyptian constitution and allowed political parties. Moreover, I assigned a vice for me.
